Prize money and tax on the Rs. 1,500 prize bond
Prize bond winnings in Pakistan are subject to withholding tax. A filer on the FBR active taxpayer list pays
15%, while a non-filer pays 30%. On the first prize of
Rs. 3,000,000 that means a filer receives Rs. 2,550,000
while a non-filer receives only Rs. 2,100,000.

Claiming a prize from draw 89
You have six years from 15 February 2022 — until
15 February 2028 — to claim.
Take the original bond, a filled claim form PB-23 and your original CNIC to a National Savings Centre for
amounts up to Rs. 1,250, or to a State Bank of Pakistan (SBP-BSC) field office for larger prizes.

About the Rs. 1,500 prize bond
The Rs. 1,500 prize bond is a bearer security — whoever holds the bond can claim the prize, so it should be kept somewhere safe. A lost bearer bond cannot be replaced.
